About Farabico

Farabi Petrochemical Company was established in 1977 (1356) as a partnership between National Petrochemical Industries of Iran and Mitsubishi of Japan, as one of the first petrochemical companies, with the aim of supplying feedstock for domestic industries including paint and resin, synthetic leather, rubber and plastics. The company was attacked several times during the Iran-Iraq war, and one day after the acceptance of UN Resolution 598, it was subjected to the heaviest attack, resulting in the martyrdom of 13 employees. In line with Article 44 of the Constitution, Farabi Petrochemical was the first petrochemical company to be transferred to the private sector.
