Donyaye Mes (Copper World) was established in 2001 and quickly became the largest copper wire rod producer in Iran and one of the largest in the Middle East, with an annual production capacity of 160,000 tons. The factory is located on a 52,000 square meter site with 18,000 square meters of covered space in Kashan. The company produces ETP, OFE, and copper-silver alloy (OFS) wire rods, as well as bare and tinned copper conductors of various cross-sections and trolley wires for electric railway overhead lines. The company has obtained ISO 9001:2008 certification for the production of copper wire and rod from UKAS, UK, and its laboratories have received ISO 17025:2008 certification from DAKKS, Germany, making it a reference laboratory for copper wire and rod testing internationally.
