About Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company (شرکت آلومینیوم المهدی)

Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company was established in July 1990 with the aim of producing 330,000 tons of aluminum ingots annually (in 3 phases) in the Special Economic Zone of Mineral and Metal Industries of the Persian Gulf, 18 km west of Bandar Abbas. In 1997, part of phase one of the complex was launched with 6 pots, and gradually 120 pots were started. By the end of 2001, production capacity reached 55,000 tons. The additional 120 pots of the phase were built and launched between 2002 and 2005, and in May 2005, the complex achieved its predicted nominal capacity of 110,000 tons.
